Feb newsletter greetings from PTSA

Our Meadowbrook student council has earned a pizza party gifted from the Salvation Army for their Angel Tree participation in December. The student council will now move to in-person meetings before school on certain Tuesday mornings of each month. Be watching for their next fundraiser coming up in February.

Lilah Edwards Memorial Rock Climbing Wall Fundraiser- We Did It! The PTSA deeply appreciates your expression of love and giving towards remembering Lilah Jane Edwards, 2nd grader at Meadowbrook who passed away suddenly last February. This is truly the month of Love! Together, Meadowbrook students and families helped to raise funds along with friends, family, and coworkers of the Edwards with a total of over $12,000 donated. The rock wall is coming to our playground in memory of Lilah. The generosity from the Meadowbrook community has been unbelievable and so heartwarming. Thank You!

A personal thanks from the Edwards – “Thank you to all of our students & families, we truly appreciate you! Whether it be prayers, thoughtfulness, a smile, card or through your support of the wall, it hasn’t gone unnoticed. This is really special to our family to share & remember Lilah along with all of you. We miss her”  ~ Scott & Melissa Edwards

Adopt-a-Class – This is a program designed to give each teacher $250 to use for purchasing the ‘extra’ items needed to teach our kids that often comes out of their own pocket. Please consider taking this opportunity to donate to your child’s educator. Donations of any amount are appreciated as we try to reach our monetary goal so each student-facing staff member can receive some reimbursement. Please send your donations to school and indicate that it is for adopt-a-class. Make checks payable to Meadowbrook PTSA. Any questions, contact the Meadowbrook PTSA at  Thank you to those who have already contributed this school year.

Burritos for Books – Meadowbrook PTSA is selling Qdoba coupons. A sheet of coupons is $10. These great deals are good for a quick pick-up meal after basketball or dance class! This money will help buy books for our browsing box library. Ask your neighbors, family, friends, and coworkers if they would like to purchase coupon pages too!
